Hello! I am **dying** to do a circle lattice for my Mom's 25th anniversary card, but can't find a free pattern to could print out online, no matter how I tried to keyword it. All I could find were links to where to order them. Might you know of where I can find one for free, as a printout? I found a card made with this technique in the Nov/Dec 2004 issue of Rubber Stamper magazine, page 38. Thanks, in advance, for any help you could offer! -Melissa
Nope, neither of those, but really COOL links - thanks!! I wish I could pull one up to show but all I find are the lattices that go up the edge of a card, rather than in a circle. The circle is comprised of slightly arched arrows that have their inside and outside points cut, then they're bent backward so they tuck under each other forming a decorative circle of positive and negative space. Hmmmm, not sure that illustrates it well enough. I may search some more for a card with this on it and if I don't find it I'll post mine when its done. My hubby made a pretty good hand-wrought template, but I would still welcome finding a more precise one. I really must find a way of mastering some of Irfanview's (like a revved-up Paint) capabilities. Thanks, again, Purplepatch! Smiles, Melissa
I know exactly what you're talking about. There are templates for this, and I have had great results from POP-UPs Etc.
They are great to deal with, and I'm saying this as a Canadian having to order cross-border from the US. So if you are within the US, I would think it's even easier!
Look under "Fold-ems templates" on their site. Tons of designs.
Just recently, they started offering DIES in some of the most popular template shapes, which eliminates the hand-cutting. I ordered a couple and LOVE them! (I once made 32 cards with the circular lattices on them, cut by hand... so you can imagine how happy I was to see dies come out!)
Thanks for all the input! For some reason I haven't been receiving emails with these last few posts. So glad I checked the thread. Really appreciate "enabling" my solution - LOL ;) -Melissa
There were instructions on a Carol Duvall show on HGTV, showing how to make these with graph paper. I'm not sure if these shows are still available on the HGTV site, but it might be worth checking out. I made some and used them before the brass templates became available.

//www.imacrs.com/popups.htm]POP-UPs Etc Hope this link works. The old name for this technique was "lace" pronounced "Lasay". These dies are great. I have all and the two backers for them. Love, Love, Love them. Would send pictures if I knew how.
Happy hunting.

Hello everyone. I was cleaning out my craft room and found some treasures, but I'm not quite sure what they are. I see someone mentioned the imacrs.com/popups.htm, but it no longer works. I have this object that is metal and measures about a 1/2 inch wide and 5 and 5/8 long. It has a hole at the top. I have no clue what it is. Anyone have an idea? Thank you

I bet it's the "folding aid" tool sold by that company (I've got one). It was meant to help you get in between the layers of cut space and bend back areas of the design. I don't see it on their website anymore, but I can see it in the thumbnail photo for their instructional video, so that probably shows it in use:
Bummer! Well, it is a really good demo of how to use that metal thingy, so if you'd like to watch, you could perhaps go to Youtube and search manually for the video:
The channel name is: popuptemplates (all one word)
The video's title is: POP-Dies-1
The demo of the folding aid occurs about halfway through the video. Good luck!
