Exclamation HELP! Glossy Ceramic Tiles

Can Anybody out there tell me what I might be doing wrong? I'm stamping on glossy tiles to make dry-erase note boards and in my attempts to seal the stamped design I'm failing miserably. I'm stamping the line art with black stazon and coloring in with permanent markers (the permanent markers have a very cool mottled effect). I've tried going over the outline with Crystal Effects and the stazon lifted off of the tile and kind of suspended in the crystal e. it looked kind of cool...if only it was the look i was going for ;). i also (on a different tile) tried using and acrylic sealer and that made both the stazon and marker bleed. Should I not seal it at all and just let people know not to use any sort of chemical cleaner to clean the board or should i use different ink and coloring medium? I want to sell these at a craft show in a few weeks so I really need to figure this out. Thanks in advance for your help.

have you tried lightly sanding it with fine grit paper to get the gloss off of the spot you are stamping? then when everything is SUPER dry maybe 24 hrs, reseal it with a clearcoat?? I have no clue. I have painted on tile before and had to sand some of the gloss off to give it something to stick to. also maybe look for a paint marker for glass instead of permanent marker?!?! HTH!

Now, why didn't I think of paint markers! I was thinking about trying the sanding thing next but was hoping i could avoid it....thanks for the paint pen suggestion! I'm going to give it a try.

Did you get your tiles finished? I was just wondering as I am searching on how to do this at this very moment. I read on one blog under the tiles that they either embossed or taped off all but the stamped area and sprayed with sealer. Just curious to know if there are other ways to do it also.
