Question Chipboard

I love the look of chipboard and see from the gallery that many know how to use it. I don't. Please help. Maybe it is really simple, but, how are you adhering your papers to the chipboard and then giving it the rough worn edge look - sandpaper? Thanks for any help in the right direction. (I want to order chipboard tomorrow when I place my demo order from the winter mini, but want to know what I do with it first before I get it - lol).

there are sooo many thigs to do with chipboard:

1. paint it
2. paint and sand it
3. cover with patterened paper (use mod podge for a clean edge)
4. ink it (use background stamps)
5. tear it to make dimensional accents like mountains at the bottom of a page
6. make belt buckles and put ribbon through it
7. Monograms!
8. make mini album covers

Good Luck and let me know if you need any more ides!
