Card making
Okay, please don't think I am stupid. What are the measurements for a basic card (square, and rectangle) I can't get my cards to look right so I buy the ones already folded but I have so much paper that I am tired of buying. Hope that makes sense. thanks for any help you wonderful ladies can give. Love SCS.;)

THIS IS THE ONE I USE ALMOST EVERY TIME I MAKE A CARD. CUT A PIECE OF 8 1/2 x 11 CARD STOCK IN HALF ON THE LONG (11 INCH) SIDE AT 5 1/2 INCHES. YOU SHOULD HAVE 2 PIECES OF CARD STOCK 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. FOLD IN HALF. YOU NOW HAVE 2 CARDS THAT MEASURE 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. THESE WILL FIT PERFECTLY IN AN A6 ENVELOPE.

You can take the same piece of 8.5 x 11 paper and cut it so that the cut is parallel to the long side, fold in half and you have a card that is 5.5 inches long and 4.25 inches tall and opens from the side for something different. If I create a square card, I usually go for a 5" square. You would cut your paper 5" x 10" then fold in half.
