Default New Scrapbooking Cutter

What can you use these colorcutters for? It is an x-acto with a marker tip. Does anyone know of tips or instructions books for it. They don't say much at the elmers web site. http://www.elmers.com/crafters/colorcutter.asp I like the idea but don't really know why I should get them.

Hmmm...I had never heard of such a thing! I'm not sure it would be something I'd have much use for...I'm just as stymied as you are!

I've seen them on HSN before in their scrapbooking shows. Yes, it's a marker with a cutting blade in the tip, so you can cut and color at the same time. Go to www.HSN.com and check to see if they have a show demo you can look at.

O.K., I just went to HSN and looked for them and they don't have them now. They did though, I know I'm not that crazy....yet, LOL

Anyway, I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help to you. I tried!

O.K., was doing some thinking on this and remember in the HSN demo, the gal was using the markers like you would a craft knife. She used it to cut out borders for cards and scrapbook LO's, matting pics, etc. I think the blade is in the middle of the marker tip, so your cut shape will be outlined with the marker. They made it look pretty easy in the demo, but you know how that is. I don"t think they really showed a close up of the actual cut itself.

you are exactly right. These have been out for a few years and that is what they are used for.

I've used these before . They are very cool. Bought them on HSN but can't get them there any more. I've heard Wal-mart now sells them but they only have ones made by Elmers. Does anyone know the difference between the Elmers version and the original? Do they still cut and make the inked edge? Any information would be appreciated.
