Brusho meets Minc Machine question
Has anyone out there done a combination of Minc foiling and Brusho powders? If so, which order did you do it in? What were the results?
I was thinking of trying it with the foiling first and see if the Brusho would be resisted by the foil, or if I did the Brusho first, then printed the laser image and foiled it after. But sometimes the paper warps from the water...... I don't know. Which is why I am here! Any advice, tips, answers, opinions, thoughts are appreciated. Thanks! |
I don't have a Minc but I have played with metal leaf and watercolour. The leaf or foil will act as a resist - doing the foiling first will give you a different effect than if you did the foiling over the top of a watercolour/Brusho base.
No reason not to play both ways and see which you like best as far as I can see! If your paper seems too warped when you use the wet medium first, try weighing it down under a pile of magazines or books or even ironing it (put some clean copy paper over the top and run the iron (no steam!) over in a smooth circular motion). Have fun experimenting - let us know how you get on! |
