Question Thumping question

I just checked out the thumping tutorial and loved the finished look! I have a question.....wouldn't "thumping" the ink out of your marker - empty it a lot faster or dry it out quicker? Seems like you would be using up ink pretty quick with this technique. Do you think you could get pretty much the same look by just dabbing the marker randomly here and there? Thanks for your thoughts on this! Barb

When I've done it, I just kind of bounce the marker onto the stamp, so it doesn't really use that much ink.
