Take a background stamp and ink it up real good. Lay it face up on table. Stamp your image (solid works better) onto the background stamp. Clean your image stamp each time.

Here's an example where I did the circles on Canvas BG:

Kissing as in putting a design on another stamp?

Ink up a patterned stamp (like canvas) and then touch a more solid design stamp to it (like shapes and shadows). Then you can stamp a "canvas leaf".

So I only ink the solid stamp with the background stamp. I don't ink it first and them ink it again? I'll have to try at home and see if it makes more sense.

Pretend your background stamp is your stamp pad. It has the ink on it.

You can do it that way, too. I like to ink a smaller stamp with light colored ink. Then ink background stamp with darker colored ink. Kiss. Then stamp on paper.

Thank you. That explains the Cool Cat card I saw that was More Mustard and Black. Sounds like the possiblities are endless and I must try this.

I like the visual of "think of the background stamp as your stamp pad" that makes sense to me now.

I see this thread is several weeks old... but I was trying to look up the kissing tech. and found this.

Does it matter if you use classic ink or craft?? I tried it with classic ink and didn't like the results I got. I haven't tried it with craft ink yet.

Any thoughts?
