Default question for any SU demonstrators out there?

I was wondering why SU doesn't come out with an idea book on stamping techniques that not only shows beginners how to stamp.but a booklet for the advanced stampers.the little 6x6 booklets show the same techniques all the time.they just change the photos and pages around.

Can someone ask if they could publish a new technique book for the advanced and beyond advanced stampers.

for example.the floating cards.spinners, gel cards, etc.I just think it would help keep more and more people coming back to classes.I'm not an instructor but I read about all these techniques and wonder why I never seen them put a booklet out like this before. Can anyone tell me why.If there is one I would like to get ahold of one is someone has one.

where can i find a book like this that will show me these techniqes, along with step by steps instructions as well as pictures to follow.

please e-mail me or p.m. [email protected]

I don't know why, but I can speculate...

I suspect it's because SU wants you to come to workshops to learn techniques...the whole direct sales thing. Otherwise, what would be the incentive to go to workshops if not to learn a new technique?

Just my 2 cents...

I think that their theory is that if they put everything out in a technique form to customers there would be no reason to have demonstrators. People would just buy the books and then order directly from the company and that isn't the way Stampin' Up wants to do business.

(But that would be a very cool book )

I think that is right, pagemaster! The idea behind the home workshop is to have your Demo, demo new and advanced techniques to you and your guests. Same with Demo's having camps, classes, etc.. The Demo gets to be the teacher and teach and share the new/advanced techniques, building a customer base for the Demo and of course for SU! This keeps the customers (hopefully) happy and interested and comming back for more. A chance to learn and make in a group of friends.
Just my thoughts

I know that they use to have technique/idea books, but they were discontinued this past year - sorry - I will make the suggestion and see what response I get back

It should be noted, SU only gives us techniques with items they sell as supplies. Spinner cards, gel cards, et al have things that aren't necessarily exclusive to SU.

Their technique book caters to the new customer. It's up to the demo to show the advanced techniques and techniques that may not use exclusivesly SU products, I mean, you can't exactly buy hair gel from SU.

We did used to have Portfolios that showed different ideas, but they aren't available this year. My speculation would be with the extent of the internet, books like these weren't selling.
