Blind or braille embossing

Can anyone give me some tips on embossing on colored paper. I've tried rubbing a spoon over my template w/o much success. Any tips will be greatly appreciated! TIA

This can be tricky because you can't see through the paper even with a light. I just keep lifting the paper and peeking. Would love to hear other's ideas on this issue.

Try reversing it around the edges and the flip it over to depress it to raise it back up. I did this with Black and it was very tedious but it did work.

Thanks for the idea! I hadn't thought of that. I will have to give it a try this weekend.
Happy Stamping!

There was a really good thread on this topic several months ago--searched--several times and can't find it.

Any way an SCS'r had a great tip to emboss the design onto vellum first. Then sandwich the cs between the vellum and template and emboss away.

I also discovered that some of the dark cs can be embossed in the dark. Turn on the light table, turn off the lights in the room. You can then see some light through it.
