Bleaching Dominos ?

Is there any other reason besides removing the"spots" on dominos that I would need to soak them in bleach rather than use the bleach pen on the "spots"? I am rather clumsy and I can see the bowl of bleach all over !! The bleach pen seems neater ( and safer..for me at least!)

Thanks for the help

Bleaching for an extended period of time, usually overnight, removes the sheen from the dominos and allow ink to penetrate better. I usually use a dedicated cake pan and sit it on the floor in the corner of my stamp room and let them sit overnight. Since it is already on the floor and out of the way, it keeps me from spilling it everywhere.
