Default stamping on soap

could someone please explain this to me..how do you do it? can you use the soap after. I have seen threads talking about tissue paper and modge podge but I dont get it.

thank you very much, thats what I thought, but can you use the soap? I would think that you could use it once or twice then thats it..ever tried it?

Yes, you can use the soap. I'd rub on the back of the bar, to keep the image intact tho.

With the paraffin wax way of doing it, the wax repels the water and the sop basically wear down from the back so it will last ages before anything gets anywhere near the stamped part, IYSWIM. I haven't tried the ModPodge way so don't know how well that lasts.

We did this in grade school for a Mother's day project (man, now that I think about it that's like 40 years ago!). We used tissue paper and paraffin wax. The soap lasted forever just as Angelnorth said.

This is the way I remember doing it in grade school too. The paraffin was melted in an electric frying pan, and we just dipped the one side in. That was back in the soap-on-a-rope day.......ha!
