Bites border using scallop punch?
Couldn't sleep last night: I saw an "alligator card" with a "bites border" using the SU scallop punch. The original tutorial was on the demonstrator's web site for SU. I'm not a demonstrator so no access to that site. HOW was that done? Thank you. Connie Watson |
I know that if you punch out the scallop, attach it to ditto paper, turn it a bit and repunch it, it makes a medallion punch which probably can be cut apart to make alligator teeth? Don't know if I've explained it well...MaggieSt :)

I think I know what card you are talking about. I want to know how to do that too.

Bites border maybe
I think if you cut the card edge into 3rds about 1" in from the edges and then pushed each piece into the scallop punch from the bottom punch side you could cut just the top half of the scallop circle (the same way someone showed to lengthen the word window punch one time)

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...time=&sortdir= Here's an explanation from the creator of the above-linked card. "To make the border, use the scallop circle punch to punch a partial circle out of the middle of the certainly celery flap. Then do one on each side. Then, glue an old olive strip under the flap. Then you can punch the same design on the old olive strip." |
the creator of the card posted directions with pictures here:
