Bigz Top Note - Cuttlebug?

I have a cuttlebug and I am considering purchasing a Bigz top note - are they compatible? Thanks

Yes, your sandwich is:

Die, cutting side up
Card stock

Have fun!

Just a cuttlebug note-
The sizzix Texturz Testure plates are too big for the cuttlebug.

Actually I've used them in my cuttlebug with no problem at all.

I am glad to hear that, maybe my friend was just using them wrong. Are you talking about the plates that are about 6"x8"?? If so, I would love to hear if there is a special trick to them or not, I will pass it onto my friend.
I have a bigshot and she gave me her texture plates because she said it didn't work in her cuttlebug. Sounds like I will be giving them back to her!;)

The Texturz plates that Stampin Up sells fit just fine through my Cuttlebug as long as you turn them so the 6" end goes through the machine - I just used the sandwich suggested with the bottom plate and then the texturz plate, then a rubber mat and the top plate and it works great. The opening in the Cuttlebug is just 6" and so far I haven't had any problems even with the XL Sizzix dies - some of them are a snug fit, but they will go through :)

Thanks for the info- I will pass it on!

One of my sets was too wide for my Cuttlebug and my DH took a single sided razor blade and gently shaved off the plastic until it fit into the Cuttlebug.

That's a great tip- it definately looks like I will be giving my friend her texture plates back;)

My Dh used a table saw with a fine blade and trimmed down the SU extended plates.

no trick here either, they fit without any issue in mine as well

Just an FYI that if you get the SU texturz silicone rubber mat you can also use the Fiskars textured plates and your cuttlebug and it comes out really nice. It comes out without it, but it's very shallow and with it it's just like using a cuttlebug folder :)

i will say this tho about the Cuttlebug and Sizzix dies--the first time I used chipboard I was thinking I broke the thing. It does go through but when it finally starts you feel a big bump...and then you think OH NO!!! WHAT HAVE I DOne oh it's ok...
