Default How do you tear mulberry paper?

I am having trouble tearing the mulberry paper so that it looks fuzzy. All my tears look like tears. And they are not spectacular at all.

All of the examples on here make me want to rub my face on the softness!!
Please help.
Thank you!!

I use my aqua painter to "wet" the lines I want to tear and then tear away! It works great!

Try painting a line where you want to tear with a wet paintbrush, then tear. That gives it the more "fuzzy" look. I have also used a blender pen in place of the wet paintbrush and it works just as well.

I wet my edges with a small paint brush, be careful not to get to wet though. You will jut need to play with the amount of water you place on the edges. Then pull.

I also like to use my Aqua Painter, but in a pinch I've used a damped Q-tip.
