I had several people asking me how I made the Build-a-Bear magnetic paper doll set I recently posted photos of on my blog. So I put together a video with some tips. If anyone is interested, here's the link: http://www.michellesrubberroom.com/2...uild-bear.html
Hope you enjoy.

Michelle, these bears are absolutely darling! What a clever idea making them magnetic and putting them in the tins! I have one question though...what are the V shaped piece and the photo corner-like piece used for? My curiosity has gotten the better of me...I can't figure it out.

Hi Wilma.
I think you are you referring to two of the shapes on the Beary Essentials Die. They are the left and right sides (arms) of a jacket. If you look in the holiday mini catalog on pg. 37, where the dies are listed, you will see a photo of the "boy" wearing a blue jacket that is made with these shapes.

Hope I understood your question correctly.
Have a great day!

Yes! That is exactly what I couldn't figure out. Thanks! These little bears make me want to play with paper dolls again.

I love, love, love this idea! I wasn't even interested in those dies until I saw this and immediately ordered them. Can't wait to get some made for a fund raiser. Got the magnetic sheet last night. Guess what I'll be working on tomorrow?:-D
Some time when we have a gift and we need to give to our love.. it is good to have a good a nice gift box. but what about if we make our own. at this case it will be somthing more special to the one whihc we love.

what I like in this site, the template whihc they provide it is customizable which mean you can print it at A4 or A3 whin nice and good design
Since it's been a while since this thread was first started, and Lowe's was running out of the blocks and bits back then since this was so popular, I wonder if anyone has found a place that sells pre-drilled blocks now? I absolutely LOVE these, but don't think I would attempt unless I could find pre-drilled blocks.
I was just at Lowe's a few minutes ago (on a completely different errand), and noticed the blocks - they had them up front. But they were something like $9 a piece...so I'm not sure if these are the same size as yours. These were pre-drilled...but the holes were on the narrow side (like where the bow rests) so I don't think you could use the pre-drilled holes for the lights...the block would be resting on the cord.
These have certainly got my creative juices flowing! Thanks so much for sharing!
