Default Build-a-Bear Workshop Magnetic Paper Doll Sets

I had several people asking me how I made the Build-a-Bear magnetic paper doll set I recently posted photos of on my blog. So I put together a video with some tips. If anyone is interested, here's the link:

Michelle, these bears are absolutely darling! What a clever idea making them magnetic and putting them in the tins! I have one question though...what are the V shaped piece and the photo corner-like piece used for? My curiosity has gotten the better of me...I can't figure it out.

Thanks!

Hi Wilma.

I think you are you referring to two of the shapes on the Beary Essentials Die. They are the left and right sides (arms) of a jacket. If you look in the holiday mini catalog on pg. 37, where the dies are listed, you will see a photo of the "boy" wearing a blue jacket that is made with these shapes.

Hope I understood your question correctly.

Have a great day!
Michelle

Yes! That is exactly what I couldn't figure out. Thanks! These little bears make me want to play with paper dolls again.

I love, love, love this idea! I wasn't even interested in those dies until I saw this and immediately ordered them. Can't wait to get some made for a fund raiser. Got the magnetic sheet last night. Guess what I'll be working on tomorrow?:-D

Talking Printable Card & Gift Box

Some time when we have a gift and we need to give to our love.. it is good to have a good a nice gift box. but what about if we make our own. at this case it will be somthing more special to the one whihc we love.

Check out this sample http://www.roseatetemplate.com/Download/sample.html

to see how to make it they provide good lessons:

http://www.roseatetemplate.com/lesson.html

--------------------------------------------
what I like in this site, the template whihc they provide it is customizable which mean you can print it at A4 or A3 whin nice and good design

Good luck

Default Pre-drilled blocks?

Since it's been a while since this thread was first started, and Lowe's was running out of the blocks and bits back then since this was so popular, I wonder if anyone has found a place that sells pre-drilled blocks now? I absolutely LOVE these, but don't think I would attempt unless I could find pre-drilled blocks.

Yes, I have seen the pre-drilled ones at least at Hobby Lobby. I can't say for sure about Michael's, but I thought I saw them there as well.

These are just breathtaking!

I was just at Lowe's a few minutes ago (on a completely different errand), and noticed the blocks - they had them up front. But they were something like $9 a piece...so I'm not sure if these are the same size as yours. These were pre-drilled...but the holes were on the narrow side (like where the bow rests) so I don't think you could use the pre-drilled holes for the lights...the block would be resting on the cord.

These have certainly got my creative juices flowing! Thanks so much for sharing!
