Anyone know how to do this??? 'odd request'

Hello everyone,

A friend and I are possibly going to be making graduation announcements for our homeschool group and one mom asked if we could make the cardstock look like... are you ready??? camouflage!!! the greenish/brown with leaves kind.

Any ideas on how to do this? use a brayer? Or a dryer sheet? haven't played yet, thought maybe you genius ladies might have a few ideas

Thanks for any help/advice...

Maybe you could do the polished stone technique with the colors you want? Or maybe direct to paper? I know it wouldn't come out exactly the same, but I'll bet with the right colors, everyone would recognize it.

hmmm....there's a background stamp by SU that is supposed to look like animal print (Leapard?). You could ink different camo colors on it and stamp it a couple of times. Or maybe even polished stone in those colors without the metalic.

they sell camo Scrapbook paper at hobby lobby. you could do a single page either quartered... or halved.. of cardstock for weight, then layer a piece of the camo over it. then print the words on vellum.

anyway, just an option!

That was my advice too. I bought some to make my hubby a covered comp notebook that he has NEVER used! LOL

I wanted camouflage for a scrapbook page so I started with creamy caramel cs ad using the earth element spots I just did the direct to paper. If you want it to have leaves you could stamp with fancy foliage using earth element colors until you had the look you wanted.

Check out the tutorial for Faux Leather under SCS resources. That could make some cool looking camo.
