Another OCD Coloring Question
 

I have Prismacolor markers. When I have a big, fat space to color in, I still use the thin tip end because the chisel tip is awkward to me.

I can see the lines where my coloring meets. I've tried up and down coloring, small circles, large circles.

Am I being too OCD? The coloring online looks great, but maybe you just can't see the over-lap when it's a picture of a card?

I have the copic markers and we are taught to color in small circles, making sure that we keep a wet edge and doing small sections at a time. You might try that to see if it works. Also, and I know this might sound like I am joking, but color quickly. Don't take too long to do the entire area. This might be why you see streaks. The streaks are really where the dry area meets the wet area. So, color quickly and if necessary, you could always do a second coat.

Prismacolors and Copics are both alcohol-based so a person *should* be able to color in an image and have no streaks/spots.

However it can depend on the cardstock being used, speed of coloring, etc etc.

Kitty's advice about coloring faster is a good one. Or at least get all your base color down and your darker colors (if you're blending and whatnot) at your own pace THEN go over the image quickly using a tight circular motion keeping in mind that you want to keep a "wet edge" and you should be able to eliminate the streaks.

And honestly depending on what you're coloring a bit of streaking or a non-perfectly blended edge prolly won't ruin an image. Sometimes the things that we notice as the crafter and are irked by are likely if ever noticed by the recipient :)

Make sure you are putting enough ink on paper. You should be able to see that the ink bled through if you flip the paper over. If you don't see it on the other side, you need to color your image a little heavier.
