Default 3-D pins-little help!

Hi girls,
O.K., I just love those 3-d pins you guys have been making. I saw them in the gallery and flipped!!!!! Hoping someone will help. I start by stamping the same three images and cut them out. Then I would put tacky glue on first image, put the second one on top then add the third image. Now do I color them in using any special marker or pencils? That's where I'm not sure what to do. I know after the third image is dry I can color it then use the Krylon triple thick crystal clear glaze to seal.(I ran out and bought it yesterday, I was so excited!!) Any advise would be sooooooo appreciated. Thanks Girls, Mea

I know Laurel has made some and they are adorable-hopefully she will chime in. Jenn Balcer also made a cute Spruced up one with lots of added "BlingBling", I am sure she will share any tips as well. Laurel does not list the markers but Jenn lists them as Stampin'Write markers.

Can't wait to see yours!

I did use the SWs. I have played a bit with wcolor pencils & aquapainters, too. All give great effects. It's all about what you want it to look like - markers for a solid, intense color, watercolors for a soft look. I want to try the Petal Points later and see what happens.

Go for it. See what works for you! I don't think there are any rules on what you can/can't should/shouldn't do. . . just experiment, and see what looks good to you! Then SHARE!

I only posted pictures of Kelli Purkey's pins. I didn't actually make any of those. I am sorry for any confusion I have caused with that. A long time lapsed between the time I said I had the pictures of Kelli's pins until I actually posted the pictures (I had to leave town for my brother's funeral) and I should have prefaced it better when I posted the pictures. I plan to make some soon and will be posting them soon. Jenn Balcer's with the Spruced Up girl is AWESOME!

How i make mine is use tacky glue on the bottom layer and then on the second layer with the top thrid layer NO tacky glue ... I just glue all 3 pieces together and stamp image on the third layer and cut all that out at one time ...seems easier ... then on a scrap piece of cs stamp the same image again and this will be for layering all the 3D effects on to the top of the image you have tacky glued together... I color the layered image and also the scrap piece to match each other then cut out the scrap piece of CS and layer that onto the main image with a little dab of crystal effects of even tacky glue again .. let dry if you can over night ... I find this step the very hardest... then when dry spray triple coat clear sealer on you will want it to be shiny so apply many coats just in little bits....
I have attached the pins I made ... ( the frosty pin is the one I made using Kellie's as a guide at 1st) ...hope this helps..
OH yes I also do what Kellie does and use a magnet on back this serves as two uses either a magnet or a pin Just add a metal washer to backing for pin use ..
