Default Question about Faux Eyelets????

I don't mean to be so dumb here, but I have tried to figure out the instructions and I think I am doing something wrong! My faux eyelets do not look like anything!! LOL The ones on the cards are so pretty, I just can't get it!!  I hope someone can enlighten me! I have to know how to do this!!!!!! Thanks for any help you can give me!!!!

Default

When I have done this I used a 1/8 circle punch in the color of the faux eyelet I wanted, adhered that to where I wanted my faux eyelet to go, then I took a 1/16 cirlce punch and punched a hole into that. Then using Crylstal Effects or something similar, apply a thin amount onto the eyelet area. Let dry and it will look great.
