acetate box??

I saw an acetate box on here last month ( I think) and I was a dope and didn't put it into my fav's. Now I can't find it. She used a sheet of acetate, and it looked like a 2-4-6-8 box, with CS top & bottom. she made it herself, not a template or diecut. Here's an example of what I mean (but this example used a die cut) http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...box&perpage=12

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I searched the gallery for *acetate* & *acetate box* with no luck. Hope someone can help!

She made it as a Valentine treat, so I know it was fairly recent...
help!

Here are the basic instrucition. I made the box top and bottom just like a nugget box.. but with these dimensions.. I scored the acetate at slighly under 2.5 three times and left alittle overhang to mono..

Ok, I managed to make some of these boxes, and taught it to my group this week.
You begin with a size of acetate the same as you would for a regular CS 2-4-6-8 box. Meaning, cut it to whatever height you want it to be and you will have a sheet of paper 8 1/2 X ____ <--your measurement here.

So now you have your rectangle, and you can make your 2-4-6-8 box out of the acetate.

the top and bottom are tricky. You will make them the same as the box, but slightly modified. Your paper should be 3 1/4 x 8 1/2. Don't make it any less than 3 1/4 b/c your tabs for closing the box won't reach each other. (at least mine didn't. Maybe there are some brilliant math whizzes here!) Here are your scoring measurements:
2 1/16
4 2/16
6 3/16
8 4/16
See the pattern there? I didn't make the 4/16 a 1/4 so you could see the pattern of measurements.

Once you fold the 2 lids together, adhere the bottom to the bottom of your acetate box permanently. Then fill with stuff--jelly beans, candy, pencils if it's a tall box, whatever you want! Place lid on top, and there you have it!
I hope that was clear. I am not at home to post a picture of mine, but I copied mine from genie1314. You have to be a member to see it, so I reccomend that you get your membership folks...it's so worth it!

I'll try to get a pic of the ones we made posted this evening or this weekend for you to see. Hope those directions help!

When you make the lids, they are really a 2-4-6-8 box themselves. You close them just like the box.
Let me see if I can find a tutorial for the box itself, then you can go from there.

ok, check this thread for some great directions!
fool4scrapping typed them out nicely :)
