Here's one from my Gallery I did for my Christmas cards a few months ago. I love this technique and hope to do another for this week's challenge.

okay...my photo sucks. I might have to take another. The bottom half is done with chalk and chalk dragging to make it look like water.

I am more confused then ever. I stamped my image on the cardstock. then I stamped it again on acetate, or what I thought was acetate. Window sheets. Turned it upside down, and pressed it off for my reflection. It looks pretty good. But now I'm confused. I want to add other colors and maybe more images. Do I color only the top image, or try to do the reflection lighter? Or am I to use vellum, and color the whole thing first or what? I don't know if this makes sense or not. I do want to do this right. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Thanks, Beth -- that was fun! I've never tried anything like this, and I was concentrating so hard I almost started to drool! I used the vellum method and my ink wasn't dry enough when I applied my adhesive so I got some goobers on my tree. Other than that, I'm really pleased with the result and I'd definitely try this again...

I've seen so many samples of this technique in the gallery, and had never tried it. I gave up on trying to stamp black on the acetate to watercolor and ended up going in a different direction -- but I'm happy with the results:

Thanks Beth and Beate for the great challenge!

I'm home today with a sick DD.... don't know if I'll get around to trying this as it seems too high-functioning for my brain today! I saw this card a few weeks ago in the gallery using the refection technique and think it's just too cute.

Too funny - I am trying to work and read and I didn't notice that this wasn't your card (left a comment anyway!) and I thought to myself - Wow, she is awesome. She can whip this out while home with a sick DD?? All I can do is maybe get dressed!!

Hope she feels better soon!

Sit down everyone!! I actually did the challenge!!! I needed a B-day card for my MIL and this was a good push to try something different. Not quite what I had in mind, but overall I'm pleased with it!
Whew!! Now that my work area is a mess, maybe I'll try stamping something else!
