Here is my HEARTFELT MONET I need to go back and add that I used the WWC. Forgot all about that when I put in the info. I like this technique. Thanks Beth and Suzy Q Moose.

Here's mine. I deviated somewhat from the instructions, but I still used an impressionist style of colouring the main image:

Okay...so help a slow learner here...do I color direct to paper with the crayon and then blend/dab with the moistened dauber, right? If not, HELP ME PLEASE!!

Monet, Van Gogh, and Renoir are my favorites! When I think of Monet, I automatically think of waterlilies so I did this:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=14567

I tried to simulate a picture frame with the gold embossed border although I could never do Monet justice
Thanks for looking,
Joanne

I was excited to be able to play today! Haven't been able to play much lately...DH had a change in jobs, so schedules are all messed up! Anyway, here's my card...loved this technique!

Ooops, I didn't follow the directions I was so anxious to do some waterliles. Sorry Beth. I will try it again the proper way

Yes, I too am confused.......do I stamp the flower image on the paper and then do what lisa said?? Does it matter if it's on watercolor paper or not?

Well, I certainly didn't have any luck with this technique. I couldn't get the colors to bleed with a wet dauber, so I ended up spritzing directly on the image. Here's my apple bucket.

Yep, you color a dot on the area you will be coloring, then with a most dauber you dot it around.

I am not sure that I really like how this turned out. Took too long and it is too plain. Feel free to give me some helpful hints.

When I think of Monet, I, too, think of flowers. Must be the fall foliage bursting out here in Vermont... I had to try it with leaves!

Beth, another challenge forcing me to think outside the box and my comfort zone. Trying the Monet style was a fun. I kind of like the outcome. Got to use all my small dot stamps as well. Thanks for the push.

OK, time to come out of lurkdom - I need to stamp today anyway!

As for alternatives - I have created a similar effect with regular children's water color paints and a Q_tip - just moiten the cue tip, dip it in the paint and dab it on.

No Watercolor Crayerns or daubers. Tried a SU sponge and classic ink - didn't work - so I inked the stamp and then spritzed the stamp. Not really the effect the technique should have but, oh well.

Began to think I wouldn't get this uploaded (maybe I should have taken the hint). Well, Beth, you said to use the technique on "whatever", so I did the background and watercolored the flower with aquapainter.
