Default TLC796~Tent card with a twist~{05/25/2020}

TLC796 Tent Card With A Twist

Today an easy twist to the Tent Fold Card we already know.

You need 2 pieces of card stock, pretty papers or stamps or embossing, some die cuts or fussy cut images to create a scene in a tent card.

1 panel measures: 8" by 5 1/4" score at 1/2" and 2 1/4"
1 panel measures: 8 1/2" by 5 1/4" score at 1/2", 2 1/4", and 8"

On the 8 1/2" panel you'll make an aperture with a die cut, I love to use circles but you can use any shape to make your window

If you use DSP add it before you die cut that makes it easier

The 1/2" scored lines will close the tent card, 2 will be glued together at the bottom and the top of the biggest will be glued against the top of the back panel.
You start by the bottom and finish by the top.
So if you use DSP you can glue that before you glue the die cuts between or on the 2 panels like here:

Then you add the scene, on this sample I've added waves and whales

Here above you can see how we put the bottom together.
and here's a picture with the whales:

The tent folds flat to mail, I'll add a PDF and some pictures in the thumbnails.

Here's our TLC796

Remember to use the keyword TLC796 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.

Sabrina asked me to let you know for next Monday's TLC you'll need shaving foam for the technique.

If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

An ordeal through fire for me, mostly because I just don't look at pictures well enough. Some issues remained but that is on me.

So much fun Anita. I have tweaked the measurements so that it will fit into a standard C6 envelope.

Thank you so much for this!  Things are heating up this week in Arizona so this inspired my theme today.  I absolutely loved making it ... in fact, so much that I am now off to make another one! Here is my first attempt.

I think you can make it even ATC just take the yellow parts as a sample, you take two pieces of the same size any size, on one of those you will have 1 glue strip on the other you need 2 so the one where's only 1 glue strip you cut of a half inch off
I hope this can be helpful

Hi - Finally got around to doing this one. I always put off folds and interactive cards, but they usually end up being much easier than I expected. This one follows suit. I used some cloud panels I had started a while back and completed with layers and a sentiment. Thanks for looking! TLC796 Thanks by IndigosMom - at Splitcoaststampers
