Karen, I brayered over the previous colors.

I believe you brayer over the color you just did, that's why you would want to pick coordinating colors, and start with the darkest color first...I can't wait to try this myself!! Thanks Beth!!

I'm having a lot of fun with this technique and playing around with different color combinations. I'm not sure the colors are exactly what I had in mind, but I like how muted this one looks:

I am not too sure what to think of this challenge. Don't get me wrong I had fun doing it but I didn't find it that easy. Are the colors supposed to blend together or stay crisp and sharp? I guess I am not used to using Glossy cardstock. I think that is why I am undecided about this challenge. I did a couple of attempts and this is what my final card looks like...

Bugs & Kisses

Cheers!

I think I'm loving this--here is my second one (third if you count the one I tossed).
Used it to alter one of those mini lunch boxes from Target. Forgot to tie the bow on the handle before I photographed, but you get the idea I'm sure.

Here is a card for the challenge. The first one I did I threw away and then reread the instructions and tried again. I used the colors from the color challenge for this week. The 2nd one came out better. Here's mine.

OK-you've convinced me to get a brayer! I did this really cool technique with a dauber. My first card is a Birthday Blob , because I got kind of carried away with the circles under the vellum.

The second card is a little better. The Candles came from a set I have with little SU stamps from a few years ago, but I don't know the name of it. I think it was a hostess set.

I'm definately going to try again when I get my brayer. Thanks for the challenge!

It took me all week to do the challenge but then I did 4 of them. It was a little messy and some of my ink bled through the post-its so I had to cover up those areas.

I think your card looks great. I love the way that you embossed your flowers. It really "shines" and enhances the beauty of your background. Nice job!

I finally got this one done. I don't have large ink pads, so I ended up just sponging on the color. I also repositioned the masks because I wasn't sure the Ruby Red would hold up under the Old Olive (which was "added" after I started when I realized I had added more masks than I had picked colors ).

Thanks for looking:

The instant I finished making the background sheet for this challenge, I knew it would make a great OSW. After making my challenge card, I made the rest of the sheet into a OSW with a few alterations since I wasn't using a full sheet of c/s.

Here is my card a bit late. Better late then never. I chose to use vellum to soften it up a bit because I used brilliant blue and it was rather dark for me.
