Finally found time to get back to the challenge. Combined it with this weeks Way to Use It Challege. This is fun, but I need some more reinkers.

Here's my card

I love polished stone so I couldn't resist. This is my first challenge and my first link so I hope it works.

Default TLC56 Supposed to be Burg & Moss

Here's my first attempt at polished stone:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=21188

I smooshed the Bravo Burgundy & Mellow Moss on the paper too much. I guess I need to learn to leave well enough alone. I also used the Zig Painty pen for the gold accent. I dotted it on the paper and then tried to blend it. Probably how my inks got muddy. But the pen will leave a dot on the paper where it dries instantly, and if there is a big blob, that will blend.

I like this technique, I'm going to try more this weekend!

I tried using the polished stone a little different way. It's fun to try different ways.

For this card I used a piece of polished stone background that I made for TLC56 last week but never used. This card combines CC55 and TLC56.

Thanks for looking.

Roxie - your card is absolutely lovely. You have such clever ideas. Love the stitching. I wish I could get my sewing maching to stitch well on cardstock. No matter what I do with the tension the stitches are a jumbled mess on the backside and uneven on the front. Don't want to hijack this thread but if you have any tips PM me.

Had to add this one for my Daughter. She did an awesome job with the Polished Stone and cutting and lining up the window. She's 12, now.

Here is one a did a few weeks back. I love this technique and really enjoyed making lots of different colored backgrounds. These colors were my favorite. TFL

I've done a few cards using the polished stone technique. I'm debating whether I'll use it often enough to warrant buying more ink colors.
