Great ideas..........add this to the list. Hold the cotton ball with a clothes pin and your fingers don't get inked!

Ok, here is my first one. I'm not real happy with it, so I guess I will just have to go and make another. Such a shame.

May be still pending

Happy Easter

thanks for looking

I didn't have any metallic reinkers, so I had to omit that part. I used blues and browns for my puppy card

Here it is:

Puppy thank you

DTP is direct to paper -- in other words, rub your paper with your ink pad.

I didn't have metallic reinkers either.. but I have a stampabilities (?) gold ink pad and I just smooshed that on the glossy before applying the reinkers... worked great!

Purple and blue fingers are a great conversation openers. The ladies at the bowling alley (friday morning league has 100+ women) always want to know what I've been making

Another trick Thanks to my insurance company I have about a million of those alcohol prep pads to clean off injection sites. I put a few drops of reinker right on one of those and then pounced that onto my cardstock.

What fun! One of my favorite techniques. Will play, but will not be able to upload for a few days. PC will be here today or tomorrow........whoohoo!!! BTW, I always use cotton balls and be sure to use 90% alcohol. I have never used metallic inks. I would love to try the Pearl Ex. Sure having fun looking at everyone's cards. Thanks Beth for motivating all of us. Nancy

Here is one from my gallery. Hopefully I will get to play later on tonight. I did mine a bit different. I used black glossy, just for a change. I really like the way it turned out but the scan is not that great. I have some wooden blocks that my grandchildren used to use, the ones with the alphabets on them and little pictures. I then put one of those felt pieces that is used to put under furniture legs on the block. They are sticky on the opposite side. Needless to say, my grandchildren lost a few blocks. I just love them.
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=21774

This one is regular white glossy.

Default polished stone...oh so easy!

I was surprised how quick and painless this technique was! I didn't even get ink on my fingers. Well, okay, the ink on my fingers is from opening the pads. So I'm not counting it.

I have always done my PS with cotton balls, alcohol and reinkers. Great tips on using paint pens and such, will have to store in my brain for the future.

Believe it or not I had some Ox Gall Liquid. I have no idea what it is other than for adding flow to watercolors. I really don't use it, but figured I give it a shot. I've mixed them with a little water before, but you still have to set it with acrylic or hairspray.

Here is mine. I had fun trying this for the first time, but the results of my first 2 attempts seemed kinda strange....decided to play it safe with the basic blue background! I'll just have to keep practicing...

I have done 2 today, but the first upload has still not been approved. Here's the link to the second which I just made because the paper was there:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=63309

This is one I already have in my gallery, but I think it is probably the best:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=63309

Finally got the first one approved:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=63309

Thanks for a great challenge!

I got one done that worked for LSC55 (1 set) as well. That wasn't planned, but since it worked out that way, hey, why not. Of course, it would have looked better with linen behind the flowers & words.

Here's my polished birthday.

Sherry...thanks for that tip! I do have the gold/silver pen that SU sells...I will try that. I just got home a few minutes ago, so I will probably try this later this evening or tomorrow.

I love polished stone. The sample that I did, instead of pouncing with the cotton ball, I swipped it across the glossy paper. Take a look...it's a whole different affect.

Rubbing alcohol and cotton balls are both in my art cupboard in my classroom. Will have to wait until tomorrow to try this if I don't forget to bring them home. I doubt that hyrogen peroxide will work as a substitute.
