I got some Ultra Thick powder and used it for the first time yesterday and it is such a time saver for this technique.

Here's my card

I haven't tried yet, so maybe my question isn't even one I need to ask, but I was wondering if the embossing powder as it turns "liquid" doesn't kind of come off of your paper around all of the edges? If it does, what do you do to keep it on so that you can keep layering and getting it thicker? I only have regular clear ep right now. I'll have to get some of the UTEE, but wanted to find out how to do it right before I go and mess it up!

You don't have to do anything special because it doesn't run off, mine didn't anyway. Personally I would get a coupon and head out to the craft store for UTEE because it took me about eight coats of the regular and only two of the ultra thick.

I find it easier to just pour it over the melted EP rather than stamp with Versa Mark again because it tends to slid. But you have to work very fast and if the stamped area is big it'll be very difficult this way. Just remember don't dump the EP with the heat gun on or it'll be all over your work space.

Good luck with the technique and be sure to post a link here after you try it.

Here's mine. I've been wanting to try this technique for a while. I do need some feedback--I'm not totally satisfied with it and I would like to do this for my stamp camp group.

Thanks in advance

Default My version of cracked glass

I bought this wedding dress stamp and greeting many months ago and this is the first time I've used it. I love the way the Twinkling H2O's still twinkle under the ultra thick embossing powder. Thanks for the challenge!

Default Cracked Glass Merci Card

Here's my first attempt at Cracked Glass; didn't have UTEE, but used regular embossing powder in a couple layers; wondered if I should have frozen it longer to get better/more cracks?? or, the UTEE would have done the trick. Lattelovinm

The cracked glass technique shows up really well in this scanned image and looks great with this Santa stamp, so I thought I would share it.
