I have two done and was waiting for approval. My linen look sure isn't showing up on screen like some of the others. I wonder if my sandpaper is too coarse. It’s all I had in my stamping room. Maybe I’ll try with a finer paper if DH has any.

This one was using chalk ink
Red Oak card

This one was using SU-Classic ink
Sketched Trio card

I finally got to do one of these--woohoo! And lucky for me, Celery is one of the craft colors I actually own, so I was able to combine it with this week's color combo:

Lexicon of Linen

Here's #2:

Love Always in Linen & Paisley

I'm cheating

I already have three in my gallery:

http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...85709&cat=4115

http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...71890&cat=4115

http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...71874&cat=4115

I stamped on all of my faux linen as the main image. I really like how many of you have used the faux linen as a patterened background it looks great. And I never even thought to use other colors! So thanks for the new ideas on how to use this technique!

I finally got the technique right! Moral of the dilemma is to use fine sandpaper not coarse. Hey Rox…follow the direction! But I had course in my stamping room already and it was worn down!
I thought about using the small stamp with the pine cone for background but it took me this long to get that linen to show up so I sure wasn’t going to cover any of it up!

Evergreen Linen

By the way, there are some very awesome cards done for this challenge. Great creations ladies!

Thank you so much for showing us this technique! It's so cool! I had a little trouble scanning mine, the colors are much more subtle IRL. I was kind of going for a Tommy Bahama look.

This is the first TL challenge I've tried (other than VSN a couple of times). What a neat technique. It was fun and I was pretty happy with the look I got. Thanks for the inspiration.

Here's my card: http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...p?photo=171296

Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Wow, everyone seems to love this technique, me included! I'm so glad to finally try this, as it's been on my list to do. Here are my first 4 attempts this week, I'm sure more will follow! Some are combined with other challenges this week:

Linen Toile

Linen Beauty

Linen Buds

Linen Petals

Thanks for looking!

This has to be the most beautiful colection of samples for a challenge ever! I am seriously blown away. And I have not a single sheet of glossy paper to give it a try. Poor me! LOL!!!

The red glitter one is sooo much prettier IRL. Just can't get a good scan of glitter. Thanks for looking.

My first ever challenge!! (it's probably still pending )http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...71946&cat=3701

I think that I either didn't put enough pressure on the sandpaper or enough ink. Interesting look. I'm going to keep playing. I think that for me the craft ink worked the best. Chalk and classic ink didn't let the line show.
