Hi Lynn--this is my first upload for a TLC Challenge! I must say that this card was not made today, though--it's a couple of weeks old, but nevertheless, it fits the challenge. I will be making many more of these, as well as teaching my Stampers Clubs to do them. Here is my sample:

This was my first time making a fold and cut card and I have to say, it was a real challenge for me. The actual construction was a snap, but what to do with all 9 of those panels??? I think I spent far too long on this and still am not all that happy with it. In case you are interested, here is the card open and here is the card closed (from the front).

Regardless, thank you so much for setting up such a great challenge! Once I can overcome my design jitters, this would be a great high-impact card option to keep in my toolkit!!

Thanks to everyone who left such positive and kind replies to my first attempt at this week's challenge. I was so frustrated when I posted it last night! But things look better in the light of day (both literally and figuratively), so I was feeling a lot better about my attempt this morning. (It kinda helped that my two kids were so enthusiastic about and impressed by it when the saw it at breakfast this a.m. !). Anyway, after looking at a lot of your great examples, I got a much better feel for approaching the layout on this type of card, and I was motivated to "make it all better." So I gave it another shot this morning using the same DSP backgrounds. The second time around was much faster (again, the actual construction was easy--it's the "decorating" of 9 panels that's so troublesome!) and I'm happy to say that I am much happier with this one!!

So here are my "take 2" cards:
Closed and Open

Thanks for all of your support and encouragement!
