TLC116 Let's Warm-Up!
Beth aka showmestamper, who I had the privilege of meeting and spending time with at SoCal Stamp Mania, pm'd me the other day and asked if I would be the guest TLC hostess this week. Of course I said yes!! Beth, I hope you are having a wonderful and relaxing time with your family!
I'm posting this a bit earlier than usual because being a west coaster and the time difference and all, I just didn't want anyone *wondering* where the challenge was while I was still snoozin' away tomorrow morning!
A bit ago on my blog I posted about my Morning Warm Up cards. Beth loved the idea and asked if I would consider posting a Warm Up challenge here. Of course, who can resist Beth?!
Here's my Monday Morning card:
Coffee Break
Here's the challenge:
I know many of us are super busy and don't have time to stamp something significant everyday. However, I have found the more I stamp, the more I stamp. Meaning, when I stop for any amount of time, the juices stop and it can become easier to do other things ( like sitting at the computer Ü ). BUT, if I start each day with a small morning warm up card, 3 x 3 cards are perfect for this, and keep them fairly simple but interesting at the same time, the creative juices stay in the forefront, which leads to more productive stamping. Most of my warm-up cards are scaled down versions of full size cards, remember to add the little details that are so important in any card, the thing that makes your card sing for you. Remember, these are quick cards, taking no more than 15 minutes or so to complete!
Correction: TLC116 is the correct keyword. That's what I get for copying and pasting!
So, that's it, start a morning warm up routine, even if just for today and post your card to the appropriate gallery, be sure to include TLC116 in your description area!

Mistake in Directions?
The challenge header is TLC116 Let's Warm Up, but in the body of your information, you tell people to make sure they say TLC115. Here's a cut and paste of your thread:
So, that's it, start a morning warm up routine, even if just for today and post your card to the appropriate gallery, be sure to include TLC115 in your description area!
I'm guessing that's a typo. Damage control needed? Please confirm. Tks.

My warm up: I get the coffee pot going, run in check my e-mail, then SCS mail, then the daily challenge...then I am off to create! I can't function properly each day without this little routine...gives me time to lolly gag about, wake up and start creating...I have to stamp everyday (well almost)... If I take a break for a day (usually due to other things than not wanting to stamp - I feel like I eat, sleep and breathe stampin) I get into a slump...so not good for me...so I make time to stamp everyday...even if it's in the middle of making dinner...I run back and forth! LOL...just wanted to share!

I couldn't sleep so I am stamping instead. Great challenge Valerie! This is my warm up card - http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=24381
It was quick to make a lot of fun. I cheated a little on the size and made it a 4.25x4.25 card instead of a 3x3.

Head start
WOW! That was a quick one to make! I liked it. Thanks for the challenge. I decided to make a Christmas one because it's the only time I would use a 3x3 card. So now I already have a head start on Christmas!

My first challenge
Good morning, ladies. I took the plunge and did my first challenge. I thought...this can't be so bad. Besides, I was up early and needed something to do!
Here's mine.

Shouldn't even be taking the time to stamp this morning so this was a great one for me. It fit my schedule perfectly.

Hi ladies! I have always done "starter cards" after a day or two of NON-Stamping. This is such an easy way to slip into a bigger "project!" Thanks for the challenge, Valerie.

Well, this was almost like VSN. A card in 15 minutes! Actually, I sort of cheated on the 15 minutes because I had a piece of layered cs left from a card I made yesterday. Thanks, Valerie, for waking us up early!
Here's my card -- http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...55266?cat=3051

I almost never use a card this size, and was going to pass - then I realized these small cards would be great to include in some WishRAK packets. So here is mine:

Hey, Brenda! I woke up thirsty, went to get a drink of water, and shuffled by the computer. Then I thought, 'wonder if the challenge has been posted?' You know how that story ends...
Glad you had a great M-Day. Hey, didn't you tell me about another time your DH did that? Do you think he might be available to train my DH?
