Default I actually like it!

I really like the way my card turned out. I wish the scan did it justice, but they just don't, do they?

Darn it! I remember reading somewhere how to post using the *name* of your sample but now I've forgotten how to do it. Thought I had it but my memory obviously fails me (hmm... imagine that.)

Could someone enlighten me?

I love using masking techniques! I've done a few projects recently using this technique (including a scrapbook class I taught last week), so I decided to try something different this time and used a negative mask with embossing powder.

Here's the result:

Thanks for the challenge!

Kelly you copy the web address of your card, then you come to your reply, you type the word you want to see, you then highlight that word. Above in the reply box, you will see a globe with a paper clip, click that, delete the existing http// and then paste your card address in the box. Hope that is clear!

This was hard for me. I don't have a lot of sets that would work well with this technique. I can't wait to see all the other samples to get more ideas. Here's mine:

I decided to create some notecards with my DP scraps. I matched them to my original upload. Happy Notecards

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=75890

I am determined to figure out how to only have my highlighted title. Still working on it, Ally. I don't see the globe unless I go advanced. *big sigh*

You can only do it by hitting submit reply and not quick reply and if you are editing, you can only change it by going advanced. But good luck, we know you can do it!

Here is a wedding card I made for my friend (whose wedding flower is hydrangea) a couple of weeks ago - I used masking a number of ways...
* I laid down drywall repair tape, sponged ink over it then pulled it off to leave the stencil shape.
* I ripped some scrap paper and sponged over it to make the darker, uneven edged corners.
* I've always disliked how narrow this hydrangea stamp is so I cut out a template of the hydrangea, laid it over the middle stamp then stamped the right and left clumps to make it look bushier.

Wedding hydrangea

I don't know if any of this is really reverse masking but I wanted to play!

I ran home at lunch to try this idea. I only had 30 minutes, so I am still thinking of other things I want to do to it, like adding some faux stitching, but here it is anyway. I might remake it tonight and upload again, but I still like what I was able to do in a short time. I could'a done this one for VSN!! LOL
