I am a little late, but here is the one I made.

I made the "stamps" and then didn't know what to do with them. I am not sure if I like how the card turned out but I always wanted to know how to do this and now I do.

http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...cat=500&page=1

Thanks

Okay - so I'm really, really late on this... but here it is...
Not quite what I had hoped for but oh well! I had fun and do like the faux postage! Thank you for posting this challenge because I have been wanting to do the faux postage for a looong time but was just too lazy I think to make the template!

http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...cat=500&page=1

Okay - here's my 2nd attempt to incorporate it into a scrapbook page:

I finally gave the faux postage a try! I had those great templates but never got around to using them before. I also brought my All Aboard set out: I like those stamps but I'm never sure how to use them. Here's a link to my card:

Going back to the kitchen table to stamp some more!

Default Faux Postage - Snowglobes

I tried making some samples of this technique today - several were complete failures (I tried the waxpaper resist technique and my images just smeared )

I loved this one I did using the All Decked Out set. It didn't scan nearly as well as I would have liked - the real thing is really very pretty.

I also tried one using the lg. stamp from the Flaky Friends set. I haven't mounted it yet, but I think it looks pretty neat as well.

I was sure I had posted my card here, but I guess with the gallery down, my mind was kind of turned to mush. Anyways here it is, it has been in my gallery for a bit, but was made for this challenge.

Here are three that I already had in my gallery. Making the templates took a little bit of effort but they will be used over and over again. Once I made one, my mind kept going round and round thinking of other images (or portions thereof) and colors I could use next!

Smile Thanks Beate for the Tutorial

Wow...I have had this technique and downloaded template in my files forever...

I had assumed everyone used sticky notes to mask off the areas.

Seeing the acetate overlay was a lightbulb moment!

Thanks Beate for sharing your wisdom and tutorial with us all!

Default Template change to 39?

It is now Jan 2006 & I was just wondering if the faux postage template was going to be updated to reflect the new $ .39 stamps.

Instead of making my own postage stamp, I decided to use a faux rubber stamp of a postage stamp. I combined it with popin pastels and it turned out artier (is that a word?) than I thought!

I'm trying to get to some of the past challenges, not necessarily in order. It's my own personal challenge to see what I can do with several at once.
