TLC577 ~ Smackin' Acetate ~ {3/14/16}
Hello TLC Peeps!
It's time for a fun and easy technique - SMACKIN' ACETATE.
Please follow Beate's awesome tutorial HERE and upload to the Smackin' Acetate Technique Album.
This is very similar to our challenges using acrylic blocks, Wrinkle Free Distress Ink and also looks similar to the Masking Tape techniques, but uses acetate. I used a window sheet from Stampin' Up! to color - and my Distress markers. Your technique piece can be used for other things besides backgrounds too! Have fun with it!
As always, if you do not have acetate (or clear stamp sets in which you can use one of the acetate pieces), substitute something so you can play along!
I will be out of town tomorrow (Monday) but will comment as soon as I can! I look forward to seeing your creations!

I giggled when I saw this stamp at my friend Jane's house. I just had to use him today. Here's my cutie card.

I've never used acetate so this is a great challenge for me, Judy. Thanks much.

I'm heartbroken! Somehow I deleted my card when I went to edit the keyword and I lost all my lovely comments! I'm so sorry! I uploaded it again, but the picture isn't as good and I haven't filled in details yet. I'll take another picture and edit, and this time I will be very careful!!

OK....I took another picture and filled in details so I should be good to go. It may take a few minutes for new picture to sync, but I'm sad that I had at least six comments and they are gone with the first card! I did this a week or two ago. Not sure how, because I did not click on delete, but my phone is a bit slow and maybe delete came up just as I touched submit changes!

Tunnel bunny
This is a super fun technique I had never tried. Great challenge
I cased a card, butterfly birthday,
by Julie, Ju012835, for the featured stamper challenge and this acetate technique gave my card the perfect punch of color. Here are photos of my card from front
Inside, and in the tunnel.

Here's mine. I made the most gorgeous background and messed it up - so then I settled for making a messy background that it wouldn't matter if anything went wrong .

I couldn't resist making just one more. This paper was actually my practice piece. I tried using Anna Griffin watercolor markers on one side of it, but they didn't come out very well. So on the other side, I tried smearing my distress ink cubes right on the acetate (since I don't have markers). And that came out beautifully. It seemed too pretty to waste, even though it's not even on watercolor paper.
Thanks again, Judy, for the wonderful challenge. And to Beate for the great tutorial. I'm so excited to have learned something so easy and fun that I'll definitely be using it again.
