TLC880 ~ Simple Swing Reveal ~ {01/03/2022}

Happy 2022 to you all!
What is the following year going to bring for us all. It's hard to tell, but let's hope that things are an improvement on 2021.
One thing we can be sure of is what we are going to "reveal" on our cards today. I spotted a couple of these cards in Di's gallery and followed her link to Jennifer Maguire's tutorial.
Another "reveal" - while sadly we have said goodbye to Anita as a TLC hostess, we are delighted to welcome Beverly (ruby-heartedmom) on board. To see Beverly's ATC album of techniques has long been a dream of mine, and if you remember, Lyn even featured her own pocket ATC technique back in May, as she too is always amazed to see Beverly's scaled-down techniques.. Don't worry - I'm sure she won't be expecting us to work in miniature :D.

In fact, Jennifer has two videos -the same technique, but one uses foam, one uses three layers of card for adding the dimension. I'll provide both for you. The one I followed up, the first half is all the stamping and decorating so I have set the link here to start at about 13 minutes in, which is when the actual technique construction starts.

And the shorter video:

Here's my card. The umbrella meant that the pivot point would have been off-centre, so one of the little punched flowers keeps my umbrella man in place until you are ready to swing him and find the sunshine after the rain.

Remember to use the keyword TLC880 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.

If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:

1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Thanks for the welcoming words! I am looking forward to hosting--and no, I won't ask you to work in miniature. This technique looks cool and I can't wait to try it. Right now, I'm taking a quick break from lesson planning to see what's going on over here. I'll have to play another day.

My card: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/g...0&ppuser=23746
It needed a bit of better planning for the hidden sentiment placement but OK for a first attempt.
