THANK YOU to the AH-MAY-ZINGGGGG Holly McMillen {Toy} for Guest Hosting last week's Waterfall Card challenge! I am still working on mine! You all have such beautiful ideas!! Folds and interactive are hard for me, and I was thrilled when Holly said YES to revisit that technique!
Today's technique has a lot of choice for you! It's called TEXTURE THIS. Let's add some TEXTURE to our cards with a TECHNIQUE - not an embellishment! You can certainly have embellishments on your cards if you choose, but make your texture count for a technique!
Anyway, I will leave it at that, and let you decide what technique to choose for your texture. There are so many possibilities that I won't list the ones I think of, as I think it's better to let you choose one (and besides, you have AWESOME IDEAS!).
My sample is from a project I made at one of Lydia's retreats, so I give her the credit for my card design. It uses a stencil and molding paste which is then embossed, and the flower is covered with Crystal Effects. Two technique textures.
Please list your texture in your description. Again, embellishments do not count as a technique. Make yours as simple or complex as you like!
Thanks for the early post, Judy! It's given me time to get up into the attic and start a piece using this TEXTURE PRESSING tutorial from Resources (couldn't be more perfect, could it ;-)) all ready to make a quick CAS card when I get home, before I start the housework. It should be good and dry by then, so I'll be back in a few hours with the card.
What a super-fun challenge, Judy! I wish I didn't have all the housework waiting to do, I could play all day with fun texture ideas. Here's this: TLC603 Textured Wish

What a fun challenge Judy! And funny how our minds work - as soon as I saw the word TEXTURE - I thought Spackling compound so that's what I used along with some liquid pearls and EP. While the compound didn't dry to as bright a white as my embossed saying it will have to do for today. Here is my card:

I love me my texture, and I had a new EF waiting to be opened, so this challenge was for ME! I made this card (and 26 more just like it) to swap at our upline's fall event. It was great fun and I got some awesome cards back! It's taking me till now to post but it's a busy life, girls (and guys)!
