TLC501 Punch Strips (9-29-2014)
It's the fifth Monday in September, so I'm your hostess today. I hope you will join in the challenge I have for you.
You will need a card base, colored cardstocks, and a single image punch. Directions: 1. Punch out a piece with your single image punch from a piece of colored cardstock (Save both pieces). 2. Take a different color cardstock (or more) and do it again, with the same punch, saving both pieces. 3. When you have as many pieces of punched out cardstock as you want, cut the original cardstock into strips that just fit the pieces. 4. Align both the strips and cut outs on your background. If you prefer, you can cut the strips first, and punch into them. *Some single punches don't work for this - you will see why when you try it! TLC501 Gallery Please add TLC501 to your keyword! Here's my sample: Nature's Leaves |

Fun challenge. It took a little longer than I thought it would. I think it was using a corner punch that made it more difficult.

Well FAILURE!! I try not to look at the gallery when making my cards because I want them to be my creations not just a copy... if you know what I mean.I don't look until I'm done and uploading. Well, maybe I should have looked sooner. Then I would have done my strips differently. Oh well. My failure today makes way to try this technique again. Here is my card:

what a great challenge, thanks! I used a watercolor powders background with a sailing scene stamped on top- with my vellum paper strips as an overlay. Had a cute dragonfly punch that fit the bill. This card was inspired by Sabrina's beautiful card Missing You. Here's dragonflies
