TLC296 ~ Christmas Ornaments ~ (10/25/10)
Hello everyone!!! Are you ready to have a little fun today??? I have a fun and easy challenge for you...we are going to make Christmas Ornaments!!
While visiting my friend, Betty's (gbedwright) blog, I saw the cutest pumpkin she made and thought it would make a beautiful Christmas ornament!!
Here is a tutorial for three different ornaments.....you can make one of these or feel free to make your own favorite ornament!! I found some wonderful inspiration in Splitcoast's Resourse pages, too....check out the Double Ball Ornament and the Fleur de Lis Ornament!!
EDIT: If you would rather make a different themed ornament, please do so....Fall, Halloween, Hanukkah, baby, birthday.....what ever sparks you interest!!!!
Here is my sample:
Christmas Ornament
Please remember when uploading to use KEYWORD TLC296 (no spaces)
You can find the entire TLC296 gallery here

I thought I knew all the tutorials in the Resources. I'm definitely going to try that double ornament, even if I have to improvise the bottom a bit. It's a holiday Monday here, so I'm not sure when I'll get to it though - I'm out of my normal routine here.

I tried one of the simple tutorials before I went to work. I may try one of the more difficult ones later. Here's my Striped Ornament.
I'll be back throughout the day to see what everyone else has done.

I added an ornament to the gallery with a different construction technique than the ones you showed us (hope that's ok!). Here is my ornament.

What a fun, fun challenge, Joan! Very timely. I used a clear plastic snowflake blank as my base. I thought it might be a little more lasting than paper and could be a tie-on to a gift or a little gift in itself. Thanks!!

I looked all over for my Fleur de Lis die, I was going to make one of these yesterday. It was sitting here on my desk but the mischievous house elves must have stolen the dang thing! I'll keep searching...
Anywho, I made this instead:

I have seen some amazing ornaments here this morning, unfortunately mine isn't one of them. The sad thing is I used a gorgeous piece of florentine paper to make it. here is my "Ugly Ornament"

This is not a project you should start right before going to bed because you'll not get to bed on time! Here is my Medallian Ornament.

Thanks Joan for a fun challenge and the great links. I used the SU ornament punch and made my ornament into a Xmas card. I do want to spend more time with the links for a "real" ornament project. TFS

Glistening wings TLC296
I didn't have much to work with, but by using my butterfly punch from Stampin' up, I was able to make a little butterfly. I will post it in my gallery in the next few minutes. I covered the butterfly with Shimmer Paint from Stampin' Up. In case no realized it, I'm a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and their stuff is about all I have. It was a fun challenge.

I loved Becca's fleur de lis ornament so much that I just had to make another one -- this time in red. Here it is.
