What a gorgeous day we had here in Colorado. Bright sunshine and crisp clean air made for a great day to be outside. I am hoping this is just a taste of good days to come. I really had a hard time forcing myself into the studio to stamp. Days like this make me wish I had someplace outdoors to stamp!
~ Ive Been Framed ~
I received a private message from Cookie (StampGroover) a while back about doing a challenge called Shadow Box Cards. Now, I knew we had done a challenge back a few years ago based on a tutorial called Shadow Box Cards, but her idea (see THIS card) was different. So this is for you, Cookie, only were going to call it something new
The idea is to create a raised frame around your image. You could use nestabilities, or you could simply cut the frame. The possibilities are endless!
Ohhhhhhhhh..I love this...have been wanting to create something like this, so thank you for this challenge and I sure will be playing! Your sample is STUNNING!!!

thanks holly!! I know what you mean about wanting to be outside! It is supposed to rain today and I have the day off so MAYBE I will get some much needed housework done!!
Fun challenge, Holly. I've never done a "shadow box" frame kind of card. It makes a great presentation. It uses a lot of "pop-up" stickies...if they is a more economical way, I'd love to hear it! : ) Thanks for another fun Monday!

This is technically not a frame but a hanging sign, but I made it a bit more frame like by daubing the edges to "frame it". I bought some of those crafty secret frames but I didn't have time to assemble them, maybe later in the week. I drew green lines around the edges of all the pages so maybe that counts as an additional frame anyway here it is.
This was a great challenge! It was a little unnerving cutting the inside of the frame with my paper cutter, but it worked out really well. Thanks Holly! Here's my Shabby Rose.
Thanks Holly for doing this for the challenge! I hope everyone liked it! I have been in bed sick today and hope to get on tomorrow to see all the wonderful creations....Have a great night
