Finally!
Took me two days to look around and find something cool and useful. I settled on the band aid instead of a battery, cough drop, or quarter :)

First time challenge
I went for an industrial look on this card. I am still not sure if I like it...I look at it and hate it and then I look at it and see some beauty in it.
My medium was drywall mud:) Edit: I did not like it in my gallery, (tossed in the trash this am:) but there is a one that I did using a pop can tab that I already had in the gallery. I will link that one instead. Blessings, Ciebelle http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=129156 |
I finally came up with something! Here is my Wedding Rings
|
I finished the challenge, and I have uploaded to my gallery...I'm on a roll!
This was a very fun challenge! I love how it demanded an out-of-the-box style of creativity. Here is my card...front and inside views. //www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/599981?cat=4716 //www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/599982?cat=4716 |
TLC123
This is my FIRST comment on Splitcoaststampers, so I hope it works
I haven't taken a picture of what I am going to suggest but I hope it will give some idea for your Technique Challenge of "unexpected embellishment"? I have been saving AND using the envelopes I receive when bills are mailed to us. There are some unique designs inside these particular envelopes and they make interesting backgrounds. I use them on cards and scrapbook pages. Sometimes I will color the designs with stains or magic markers. Other times I will stamp directly over the design. I not only feel creative, but ALSO enjoy being able to RECYCLE. Hope this helps some of you fellow Stampers? Stampin Busia |
Welcome Stampin Busia! We'd love to see some of your artwork...have you thought about starting a gallery? If you need some help with that, just let us know! :)

Thank You!
I WILL consider a gallery. I appreciate your offer. Happy Stamping! SB |
Hey, I have been following this challenge for a couple of days now. Great ideas! I came up with an idea, and made my card last night, but I am not sure how to post it here. I already have a small gallery, but am unclear how to do the whole linking thing. If any one could help I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks, Rebecca |
Help is on the way

upload your card into your gallery. Then click on the card in your gallery. Copy the address of your card from the address section at the top of the page, the address will start, http://www.splitcoaststampers The click on the link of the challenge you did. Paste the link into the quick reply box at the bottom of the page. Then type what you'd like to say about the card and hit "post quick reply". Then your typed message and link will be included in the challenge area of the card you did. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Sue:) |
This may not be the MOST unexpected embellishment but it IS a geniune antique key so I thought, hey, what the heck!

Here's mine. I forgot to put the TLC123 in the keyword, though.

This was my first upload - I couldn't resist this challenge! Used purple "spandex" which is really one of my son's used book covers that he brought home from the last day of school a few weeks ago! The other thing I used is a label from a pair of shorts I recently bought. This card was made for a friend who just started an exercise program - the back of the spandex stretch inner card is plain white for writing. |
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=51458 okay, I think that I did this right. I may need to try it again if not. This card was a lot of fun to make.

Since I am still trying to learn how to do this I thought I would try this link stuff one more time. Thanks for your patience!

This was the first challenge card I've made...It was SO much fun to look around the house and see what I could use as the unexpected element! |
Well here is one that I had uploaded recently to my gallery and it has very few views on it.
It fits this challenge perfectly. TFL! http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=110542 |

Ok now this was a challenge! But I think I found something here! A golf divot tool. Have a look and let me know what you think. This isn't one of my ususal cards! :-)
