Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun!

Just think! 100 teaparties! Whew! 101 is more important to me! It has something to do with black and white dots (I mean spots!) Tee Hee! I am planning a special teaparty next week to celebrate 101! Hint. Hint!

This is my story!

1. Last week's ride on the Bird Brain Train was not so relaxing I must admit! Well it coulda been if it weren't for all the tweeting! Yikes! After about 42,000 feet of railroad track it gets a little old watching the trees, rocks, mountains, and wildlife going by in the blink of an eye. Besides I was beginning to get dizzy trying to focus on stuff! Don't know about you guys, but its high time we do some real relaxing and it just so happens we have the perfect mellow, calm, relaxing teapot to inspire us! But, you know how it is, a teapotters job is never done so we have a little task to do to! I know what you're thinking! You thinking about when we went to Peggy's Cove, stayed in a lighthouse and had to catch 42,000 pounds of fish! I get tired just thinking about it! Remember the stench? Snort! None of that this week! Whoot!

2. This week we are talkin' pure relaxation. Searching for seashells, sailing, snorkeling, napping in hammocks, sand castles, picnics, the soothing sounds of the water and a week with Silly Sydney! Rut roh!!! In my best Fuzzy Wuzzy Was a Bear tune, here is the story of Silly Sydney!

Silly Sydney loves the sea.
Silly Sydney drinks her tea.
Silly Sydney’s sorta silly, really.

Silly Sydney saw a shell
Silly Sydney tripped and fell.
Silly Sydney’s sorta silly, really.

Silly Sydney wrenched her knee.
Silly Sydney dropped her tea.
Silly Sydney’s sorta silly really.

Silly Sydney looks up high.
Silly Sydney sees Kahuna Kai!
Silly Sydney’s sorta silly, really.

Silly Sydney's not so shy
Silly Sydney now loves Kai.
Silly Sydney’s sorta silly, really!

Silly Sydney forgot her dream.
Silly Sydney needs our team!
Silly Sydney's sorta silly, really!

3. Back down, Moondoggie! Moondoggie is Kahuna's Kai's fellow surfer bud, life guard and childhood friend! They met in Kindergarten. Kahuna Kai and Moondoggie were two names that just fit together and as it turns out, when you see one you see the other. Sorta like surfers and killer waves. All his life, his friendship with Kahuna Kai has had one huge draw back! Kahuna Kai's good looks, charm and smooth talkin' always gets the two of them in some pretty major predicaments! Even in Kindergarten, the girls would take one look at Kahuna Kai and forget which colors they were supposed to color their surf boards! He is not surprised that yet another visiting tourist needs to be reminded of the purpose of her trip to the beach. It wasn't to gawk at Kahuna Kai, it wasn't to listen to his smooth talkin', it wasn't to experience his life saving techniques (yikes!), it wasn't to climb his life guard ladder! It was to fulfill a life long dream of seeing the ocean, snorkling with the underwater marvels, hearing the surf, seeing the sunsets, feeling the sand between your toes and experiencing the moment!

4. Moondoggie is so stressed! He just put out one of Kahuna Kai's fires last week and now this! He's gonna go take a nap in the hammock, do some shopping for us at a local tea shop and then meet us back here for the luau! Thanks to us, by the time he gets back, Silly Sydney will be back on track with her dream and he can enjoy his evening. Let's remind Silly Sydney why she came to the beach! Bring sailboats, seashells, underwater marvels, sandy beaches, soft swaying palm trees, icey cool drinks (don't forget the little paper umbrellas), hammocks, lounge chairs, gorgeous sunsets and even a good book or two! Just think relaxing at the beach, good food and the simple life and bring that!

Don't think that I have forgotten about that certain image of a tan, bare-chested surfer Hawaiian life-guard type dude that was hanging around SCS a couple of years ago! If you bring somethin' like that, you have to come in the back door! We are supposed to get Silly Sydney's mind OFF Kahuna Kai!!

It just so happens that Silly Sydney is not a make believe character in one of my silly teapot stories! She is actually a teapotter and her dream of seeing the ocean is real! Her gallery is two thirds teapot cards! You could most definately say that she is an avid teapotter! Check out her gallery here. Silly Sydney (Elaine) is a very, very close friend of Cat (Catgondek), another avid teapotter! Elaine was recently diagnosed with cancer, has had a very serious surgery and is need of some cheering up! Cat has asked our help to make a life long dream come true for Elaine. The details are here, in Post 24 of the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread.

Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your card. It is strictly voluntary.

Catgondek (Cat) made a wonderful sample card for Silly Sydney!

Here is my card!

Quick Link to Teapot Tuesday #100 Challenge Gallery and our adventures with Moondoggie and Kahuna Kai!!

Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT100 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!

Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peek) on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!

If you are confused about these challenge, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.

My card is up and ready to go ... I am trying to help my dear friend Elaine, Silly Sydney, imagine a nice relaxing day at the beach. Hope she gets a lot of help from all of you cuz she could use a little distraction right about now!

I thought that pot really cried out for some homemade paper looking background - and played with my distress inks. Looks really "potty" I think!

Hmmm. sure hope this doesnt turn into a potty party!

Hmm, I will love playing along with this when I get back from the doctor and a lunch date with DH. I LOVE the seaside. I've pulled a favourite seaside card from my stash and will post it this morning instead of waiting to mail my TPT one.

RJP111 06-29-2010 03:06 AM

Oh, how I miss the beach! Hopefully I'll be able to attend the tea party after work today.

Check out these cool surfing dudes - I just happened to read about them in the paper on the train this morning.
The volume might be a bit high - stand by to turn it down!!

Gale R 06-29-2010 10:04 AM

Glad I got to play today . . . Here's my card; and
Here is my story:
So Silly Sydney is all gaga (that’s not Lady Gaga <<snort>>) over Kahuna Kai, leaving her little sister Suzie to gather seashells all by herself. Suzie has collected so many – at least 42000 - she needs her apron to hold them all (Suzie is a very old-fashion girl). Sydney can be as silly as she wants over some stupid boy (Suzie is VERY young and has not grown to appreciate the appeal of a hunky hunk like Kahuna) but Suzie is going to enjoy every barefoot moment at the beach! She loves the warm sand between her toes, the smell of the salt air, the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and the gulls calling overhead. The sea grass makes a lovely rustling sound when the breezes blow and it makes Suzie want to stay there forever. Humph! If that Sydney doesn’t get her mind off of Kahuna soon, Suzie thinks she is going to need to throw 42000 seashells at Sydney so she better start collecting more so there is still some left to take home.

Here's mine.

Sorry there is no story this time except that IRL I ran to the peds doc today with my 7-year-old with a metal nut in her ear, so my mind was elsewhere!

Sorry I'm so late for the tea party! I hope my beach scene will bring some cheer to Elaine. I'll get it right out in the mail. Have a great weekend!
Here is my card: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=143903

catgondek 07-05-2010 03:31 PM

Elaine has asked me to thank you for all the warm summer wishes you have sent. She has always dreamed of the ocean and asks me about it --- she asked what it feels like when the waves wash the sand out from under your feet if you stand in the shallow water. Hard to explain! Anyway, the cards have really brought a smile to her face - and a sincere thank you from her and also from me to all you wonderful teapotters!

Connie Jo9 07-05-2010 03:57 PM

Whew, made it to the 100th party before tonight. I am all tired out now. Your new teapot looks like it may be all white.....maybe I can be on time. hehe!!! Here is my card http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...8?&limit=last1 .

Mothermark 07-05-2010 07:55 PM

So happy to hear she is receiving some cards now Cat....Thanks for giving us a little up date! Hope she is doing well.....

Hey, Con Air....you just made it by the hair of your chinny chin! Tee hee! Love your card!

catgondek 07-12-2010 05:14 PM

Elaine was hospitalized again today - so if you are someone who believes in prayer, please think of her.

Mothermark 07-14-2010 04:19 AM

Thanks for letting us know Cat.....I hope she gets back on track and can get home again soon.....She is having a rough go of it for sure......Thank YOU for being a wonderful friend to her......I am sure she *feels* you through this hard time!
