Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
When I think of wide open ranges I think of running horses. I can only imagine what they are feeling just out running enjoying the day. Today we are adding horses to our cards.
DESTINATION STATION:
Lori, a.k.a. SCS ArtzadoniStudio, requested a teaparty for her sister-in-law, Sandy (and Sandy’s husband Dave). Sandy has literally been stopped in her tracks after a nasty fall that resulted in TWO broken feet! Ouch! Dave has taken an extended leave from work to tend to Sandy. They are both accomplished artists who work together and are well known in the Arizona outdoor art fair circuit. Because of Sandy’s injury they will miss this year’s art season. Lori mentioned that Sandy and Dave would appreciate encouragement cards with a Southwestern flair. They also love dogs, cats and horses. This tea party will at least give them some good memories during this very difficult time.

Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT555 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to Jacqueline.
I do have a horses digi I bought for the Year of the Horse in 2014, and a lovely cowboy riding silhouette from Carla, but I went more artsy-crafty and used a great pottery stamp.
Terrific challenge Lisa. I think the only horse I have in my collection is sort of a kid styled one so not the best for our teaparty today...that's why I decided to go the art route ;)

I cannot thank you all enough for showering Sandy and Dave with your amazing art creations. They will be so surprised, very appreciative and grateful for every card coming their way. I FINALLY got my new computer up and running and will join the tea party Show and Tell ASAP. I am so happy to have found the SCS community of such giving people. Thank you!

I made sure to make the card for this challenge before I went out of town, and then I forgot to upload it! Rats! When I get home on Monday I will put it up.

Hello, being from AZ and familiar with Apache Jct, i put this address in google maps and in mapquest. i think there could be more to the address like E or W and it is possibly Street and not Road. Could you double check the address, please? i will wait to mail my card until it is confirmed. Thanks Teresa
Hello, I am happy to be able to participate this week and send a card to Sandy, SIL of Lori. Sounds like a horrible injury and hope my card brings a little bit of a smile, someday... probably not soon as the pain and inconvenience of this injury would make me FROWN.. yikes!
I don't have anything Horse related, so i chose a cute Pup in cart and made it very shiny (although the pic was hard to get the shine properly) with Bright Copper All Purpose ink from Tsukineko. It was very difficult to find this copper color, but found great resource of this type of ink at thequiltgal.com, in case you are hunting this same ink products.
Yahoooooooooo! Horses! I've been itching all week to join in on this one. ;) I had a harder time than expected with it though, because I wanted to make it as "southwestern" as possible...

UPDATE FROM SANDY Via Lori "Artzadoni": Sandy said Dave checked the mail and he was truly perplexed and baffled about the 1st six cards that arrived. They knew they were nice and special and that they weren't from me ;) They made the connection to SCS via your sweet notes. What a joy to introduce my SCS friends to them. They love every card and truly appreciate your thoughtfulness, time and talent. The tea party was such a great success and I thank you....so much so, that I'll do the dishes and clean up.
Late to the party again! Here is my Southwest Sunburst card for Sandy and Dave; it will go in the mail tomorrow!

Sandy and Dave sent the sweetest and handmade thank you card to me today for sending them such special notes when they were really in need of some positive love. Extending the thank you to all the teapotters for all the wonderful cards. Sandy said she is happy to get back in to her studio and get back to crafting.
