Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
We're not in Whykickamoocow now Dorothy. This is my first time hosting a regular weekly Teapot Tuesday challenge and I have been pondering what a 12 year old boy might like. So far I have come up with Sports, Harry Potter and Food.
I'm not suggesting that you have Harry eating Mrs Dursley's pudding whilst playing Quidditch, but how about you choose one of those three themes....Sport, Harry Potter or Food.
Because our cards will be various themes, how about we all write our SCS name plus Splitcoaststampers and our home towns on the back of our cards. Arman will then know where all of the paper hugs have come from.
Extra cookies if you combine two of the themes.
DESTINATION STATION:
We have another feel good story of a kind heart paying it forward. We learned, in the news, of a 12-year old Florida boy named Arman Shah who saved and used his own money to pay off all the delinquent lunch accounts of other students in his school. What a kid! As with Curtis Jenkins’ story a couple of weeks ago, Arman’s compassion and generosity for his classmates struck a chord. Let’s pass on some warm fuzzies to Arman by flooding him with happy thoughts and paper hugs.
Send your cards to: Arman Shah

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to Jacqueline.

Question: Can I use a dog?
In my experience as a middle school teacher, most like dogs and only a few like sports. It’s probably a regional thing, but I would love to use “man’s best friend.”
Update: I might still have an image left of a boy and his dog eating ice cream. I’ll search.

Hello Miss Boo, dogs sound great. If we all put our names and SCS info on the back of our cards, Araman will know where the love is coming from. Anything you create will be terrific Jen.

I totally forgot about taking a picture of my card! I already have it in the envelope all sealed with a stamp on it. It was navy blue with a baseball player teddy on it. And it is going out today, Sorry!! :(

I didn't really follow the suggested card themes, but I wanted to make a card to send to recognize and applaud the wonderful thing Arman did for his school.
Well, just thinking how students that age love animals - I had to use dogs on my card. Even have one inside. Armand is SO good to be helping his schoolmates!!
I am coming in under the wire with this one (or maybe in the bottom of the 9th), but I did it. Susie, this was a great challenge because it really challenged me! Here is my card: Arman is an Allstar by Art Deco Diva - at Splitcoaststampers. Thanks for looking! ~Karen.
