Welcome to Teapot Tuesday
and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge#464
C'mon McGrapple, Make the Tackle
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: Football season is either a time you stay glued to the big screen or you leave home and go shopping. There isn't much "in the middle" on this subject. And so it is in the McGrapple house. With a name like that, how could you possibly not be a sports fan. Even down to the house pets, Sarge the German Shepherd and One Eye the cat. Everyone gets into the spirit of the game during football season.
2 Trouble is none of them can agree on who has the best team, who is the best quarterback or even if the referee knows what he is doing. So you can well imagine, it gets rather loud here during game time. And no one even dares to call or knock on door during a game. (Not that anyone would even hear it) And on this particular day, the scene is no different and the noise level is almost to the deafening point when Sarge and One Eye get into a heated argument over what team the last foul should be against. And amongst the human yells you can hearing lots of snarling and hissing and an occasional screach.
3: All of this is just beyond the comprehension of the neighbor to the south who usually has to listen to it or leave home as the TV room at the McGrapple house is on the south side and they tend to leave the windows open to air things out a little. So poor Mr. McGreevy is nearly fit to be tied most of football season, and is constantly trying to come up with a way to deaden the noise. He's tried planting a row of evergreens and although beautiful to look at, they don't really block the noise. He's tried putting up an 8' fence and that does keep him from having to watch their touchdown dances which spill out into the back yard, but again, doesn't do much to block the sound. So now, (if the town gossips can be believed) he is investigating so fancy sound emitting satelite dish that will supposedly deflect all that noise back towards them. And the city council is up in arms. (As well as the neighbors on that side of him)
4: Rut Roh!! Looks like some peacekeepers are needed. Or maybe 42,000 teapotter cheerleaders. That should about do it.
Challenge Translation:
Dogs, cats (maybe not in the same room), and even some cheerleaders are needed. No snarling McGreevy or it's the back door for you
