Where, Oh Where, has that Doggie of Mine Gone

The Rest of the Story:
1: No home (or garden either) is quite complete without a four legged friend running around. And Mary's place is quite quiet without her little white curly haired friend, doggie.....Now I bet you thought I was gonna say lamb didn't you?...well, not in this yard...that's another story.
2: But Mary's doggie has gotten lost and hasn't been able to find her way back home. Mary and all the neighbors have been running up and down the streets and sidewalks yelling for her from sunup to sundown but no doggie barks coming back at them. Mary is beside herself trying to figure out what to do. It's almost time to plant the flowers along the front walk and doggie always helps by digging the just right sized hole for her to put the little pots into.
3: However is she going to do all of this on her own. You see; Mary is nearly blind and doggie digs her holes and then pulls her hand toward them. Quite helpful he is. But without doggie to help, Mary's walk may just be boring and ordinary this year.
4: Rut Roh!! we need diggers, we need dog finders, we need help!!
Challenge Translation:
bring doggies, bring flowers, bring spades and shovels too. But no cats or it's the back door for you
