Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: Ahhhh....the sweet smell of fresh mowed hay....(can you tell I'm ready for spring already) Sweet grass with the occasional pungent weed in the mix. That's the smell of spring time on the farm. And the sounds....the birds chirping, the bees buzzing, the dragonflies whirring, the cows mooing, the pigs snorting, the....PHUTT...PUTTT...PHUTTT....what the heck is that? That isn't fitting into my idealic setting here. Putt Putt Puuurrrrr....there that's better. Sounds like Tall Bob is out to do some more mowing. He mows all day, up and down the road; anyone have some yard need mowing, just call Tall Bob and he'll be right over. Nothing he likes better. A long ride on his big blue tractor, a tall lemonade in the holder and Rufus running along side. He'll be doin it with a smile for sure.
2: Only problem is, these days Rufus is getting slower and slower and having trouble keeping up with Tall Bob esp. with his shiny new high end blue tractor. And Tall Bob is missing him there to talk to as well. So he scratches his head (that starts the thinking engines) and puts his mind to work on a solution as he mows ol' lady Hughes huge front yard..."Now make sure you don't get to close to that old stump over there" "Yes, Ma'am"...he mows along thinking and thinking. Then over to Mae-Belle's place, there he puts the disc down and gets her garden ready for planting. And then, "Dad-burn it, I'm getting low on gas" he realizes. So he heads down to the gas station on the big blue tractor to get some gas and still thinking about his problem with Rufus.
3: Thinking so hard, he almost left the gas station with the nozzle still in tractor....OOOOPS....back to thinking and mowing. Suddenly, a brilliant idea hits him; I bet ol' Rufus wouldn't mind riding in a doggie sized hay wagon when he gets tired and I could carry an extra jug of lemonade back there to. That seems like the perfect solution. So, before heading home, he drives the big blue tractor down to the lumber yard and gets some supplies. Then home to putter and pound and maybe a little cursing in the barn till he got it just right. But it's to late to try it out tonight, we'll try it out tomorrow ol' boy. Rufus just woofed and wagged his tail, loping along beside Tall Bob to the house.
4: The next morning, with great excitement Tall Bob and Rufus went out to the barn to start the days mowing and take along the new wagon for Rufus. PHUTTT>>>....PHUTT>>..... P P PHUTTT>>>>....oh dear. That sure doesn't sound good. Sounds like Tall Bob didn't get the oil mix right or something. And poor Rufus is just sitting patient like in his new wagon ready for a ride. Rut Roh!!!! Teapotters...we need a mechanic, or maybe just an oil can...
Tall Bob needs our help!!
