Cupcakes, A Tutu, and A Hippo or Two
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! The Rest of the Story:
1: Oh what a wonderful day!! Lill Miss Prissy is all excited for her day to start. Because today is her special day and she gets to choose a fun place to go, what fun things they will do, what she wants to wear and even what dessert to eat. Oh goody goody.....it has been so hard waiting and being good for this day to get here. She has it all planned out in her head.
2: First thing Miss Prissy (as her family calls her) did when she got up was to get all dressed up in her best pink ruffle butt tights, her sparkly pink tutu and her new t-shirt with the hippo on the front. She thought she looked just lovely as she danced around the kitchen waiting on breakfast. She had to eat breakfast before she could put her crown on and then she would be ready for the day to begin. And she was beginning to get impatient, and maybe a little whining as she waited. Patience wasn't exactly something Miss Prissy was very good at. Momma kept telling her she needed to work on it...but it was so haaaaard to wait when she had all these plans in her head for the day. She didn't have time to be patient.
3: Finally breakfast was over, her hair brushed and her diamond studded crown pinned on and she was waiting by the door for everyone else to get ready. She couldn't understand why they were so slow, everyone knew you had to get to the zoo early to watch the animals eat breakfast, that was the funnest; esp. the hippos. She especially liked the baby hippo, he wasn't as scary big as the others, and he always smiled at her when she visited. She was going to share one her special day cupcakes with him if the zoo-man would throw it in for her, she just knew the baby hippo would love sprinkly frosting as much as she did.
4: Finally, they are on the way to the zoo and Miss Prissy can hardly sit still, she is so excited to see all her animal friends. She loves to practice standing on one leg with the flamingos that are just inside the zoo entrance and she's gotta show them how much better she's gotten since the last time. And then she has to go feed the fat goats in the barn yard. They are so funny she just laughs and laughs at them all trying to get the food at once. Then she'll go find the baby hippo with her treat.
5: When they got to the hippo pond, they found a new sign had been put up: Don't feed the Animals. WHAT!?!?! Oh no!, wailed Miss Prissy, I told baby last time I was here that I would bring him a treat. Now he'll think I don't like him anymore!! WHAAAAAHHHH!!! Her wails could be heard for blocks away, and no matter what Momma tried, she wasn't consolable and even sat her ruffle butt down on the ground and refused to move until she could give him a treat. Sheeesh, the determination of the child, her mother thought. Maybe I can find the zoo keeper and get him to do it this one time.
6: Hearing Miss Prissy start giggling, she turned around to see what was going on and saw a huge crowd of 42,000 women throwing cookies over the fence and one of them holding Miss Prissy up to help her throw her cupcake over the fence. One of them had strategically covered the no feeding sign with her hat, so they could say they didn't know anything about any ol' no feeding rules if they got caught. Oh my, thought Momma, we're all going to be banned from coming back for sure. But 42,000 gals just laughed and headed on down the path like nothing had ever happened and Miss Prissy was laughing gleefully watching the hippos eat all the cookies.
7: All the zoo keeper said when he got there was, "Oh, those teapotters, they are always up to something. I just hope the hippos don't get sick from the sugar." and winked at Miss Prissy as he went on past. And Miss Prissy skipped along the path visiting the rest of the animals until she got to tired to go any further. As they left the zoo gates, she saw a crowd of 42,000 gals waving good-bye and from the sounds coming from the monkey cage, they were still flinging cookies around.
Challenge Translation:
Bring happy cards with animals, sparkles, and get well wishes. No signs about animal diets or you must head for the back door.
