Ahoy, Mateys! Today we will be having tea with the likes of Long John Silver and his merry band of pirates. The "boys" are going to help us find treasure and gold - all 42,000 of us!

Long John: When I was just a lad looking for my true vocation

Though you could be a doctor or perhaps a financier

And you'll keep your mind and body sound
By working out of doors
Long John: True friendship and adventure are what we can't live without
All: And when you're a professional pirate
Bad Polly: That's what the job's about
Long John: "Upstage, lads, this is my ONLY number!"
Now take Sir Francis Drake, the Spanish all despise him
But to the British he's a hero and they idolize him
It's how you look at buccaneers that makes them bad or good
And I see us as members of a noble brotherhood
Pirates: Hey ho ho
We're honorable men
And before we lose our tempers we will always count to ten
Long John: On occasion there may be someone you have to execute
All: But when your a professional pirate
Morgan: You don't have to wear a suit..... what?
Mad Monty: I could have been a surgeon
I like taking things apart
Bad Polly: I could have been a lawyer
But I just had too much heart
Morgan: I could have been in politics
Cause I've always been a big spender
Pirate: And me...I could have been a contender
Long John: Some say that pirates steal and should be feared and hated
I say we're victims of bad press it's all exaggerated
We'd never stab you in the back, we'd never lie or cheat
We're just about the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet
Long John's speech...
All: Hey ho ho
It's one for all for one
And we'll share and share alike with you and love you like a son
We're gentlemen of fotune and that's what we're proud to be
And when your a professional pirate
Long John: You'll be honest brave and free
The soul of decency
You'll be loyal and fair and on the square
And most importantly
All: When you're a professional pirate
You're always in the best of company
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Bring pirates and boats and ocean stuff. I think there must be a dog muppet among all those pirates - extra cookies if you bring a dog wearing a pirate hat! (If you have a chance to go to James' Caring Bridge page you will see that dogs make him smile.) But if you bring skulls and crossbones you'll have to walk the plank!
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our destination is Champaign, IL. If you would like a destination for your card, how about sending it to James. James was brought to our attention by fellow Teapotter Grace (Katlady2). James is the son of Grace's daughter's long-time friend.

Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given Mothermark permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send Mothermark a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!

I originally signed up for the Teapot Tuesday images swap and it supposedly got absorbed into a RAK thread. But I don't know how to find it. Any GPS (global positioning stampers) out there who can direct me to the right destination? Thanks.

To all my fellow tea potters, I have a very good friend who makes hats and donates them to cancer patients or other illnesses. She was featured on Jenny Jones years ago. She will be making James some type of a pirate hat and sending it to him too. She goes by the Happy Hat Maker. I have donated yard to her for her quest. She is always looking for places to donate her hats to or people. If you have a request let me know.

What a fabulous gift for James. He can put on his pirate hat and look through all these wonderful cards.

Here is the link to the Wish RAK. It's a little confusing at first because there are alot of rules. I am finally getting the hang of it. Hope this helps.

A very simple card for James with pirate stickers. Hope he has fun opening all his cards. St. L Children's Hospital is an excellent hospital, so he is in good hands.
Rosalia what a super fun challenge you did today. Thanks for all the fun. The gallery is looking sooooo cute for little James let me tell you.
