Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT691
CHALLENGE CUTTING UP
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Shoe Girl/Lisa
CHALLENGE:
Our wonderful destination person this week is a hair stylist and a card maker. Two great ways to use scissors. My challenge to you this week use scissors on your card. It can be an image with scissors, you can fussy cut something or use decorative scissors. Have fun with it. Bonus cookies to you if you add some pink to your cards because our destination person loves the color pink.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of you, Hello/Hi, Encouragement, Religious/Spiritual cards are welcome
Carol is this week’s teaparty guest of honor and she sure could use some warm fuzzies. SCS Debbie in OC made the request on behalf of her friend, Judy. Carol recently had chemo for breast cancer and is now starting radiation. She is a hairstylist but hasn't been able to work at that since starting treatment. She is a warm and loving person who misses her interactions with people, friends and clients (you know how those hair stylists can talk). Carol is religious, loves to bake, and her favorite color is pink. Debbie added that her friend, Judy, is also a card maker and when Carol gets one of her cards she tells Judy that getting those cards in the mail is like getting a warm hug. Come on Teapotters, let’s flood Carol with paper hugs!

Quick Link to today’s Teapot Tuesday Challenge Gallery: Cutting Up
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT691 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Does someone you know have a special occasion or milestone coming up? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected].Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

I know I have a small die of a pair of scissors, but can't find it. Someone sent it to me and I didn't 'file' it where I would be able to just pull it up. I used this cute girl, dress and tie blowing in the wind... and I think she's holding a flower... I was never sure.. LOL Sentiment cut from fun foam, and I used a very old Darice embossing folder for the background of flowers.

Thanks for the great challenge, Lisa! I used my scissors to snip some of those die cuts and I was happy to use pink .... both Carol and I love pink!

Most of the scissors were covered when the sentiment was added, but I can see two pair visible.

Hi Mac, Are you a current Fan Club Member? You need to be a member to get into the gallery to view our cards, because we uploaded them to both galleries. I guess the Fan Club Gallery parameters take precedence over the Teapot Gallery! (Sabrina--correct me if I'm wrong...!)

No - anything in a member gallery should be viewable by anybody. It's only the actual Dirty Dozen monthly Design Team galleries that are exclusive to fan club members. I haven't checked Lisa's card yet - (I'd just opened the gallery to comment on it, and came here to get Carol's address so I can mail mine tomorrow )but yours is in the SU set gallery, so should be visible to all for sure.

But, actually that's interesting. I can't see it in incognito mode - so there must be a glitch somewhere. I'll report it.
No need to report it.
The actual Tickled Pink gallery is only for the current DD to upload to .
For fan club members' cards to show in the Fan Club Interactive Gallery, all they need to do is to include the keywords given each month. The DD gallery is the work of the design team, and is exclusive to fan club members; the interactive one contains both the DD cards and member cards, but only fan club members will see the DD cards in it.
I've moved them, and you should be able to see them now, Mac.

Thank you for the information! I'll be more careful as to which gallery I'm uploading to in the future!

Thank you! I have never done a Fan club challenge, so I didn't know. Thank you for checking and explaining. I must have misread something or it just didn't sink in.

My card for Carol, who loves pink. I still can’t believe that amidst my thousands of stamps/dies I have ZERO scissors…guess I’ve not had a need or desire to use such one in my 25+ years of crafting, lol. Oh well, I do have plenty of flowers.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this week's Tea Party. Carol is in awe that she has received cards from so many people and from so many place around the globe. She has been sending texts to Judy almost daily describing the cards; telling her all the places they come from; and, expressing her appreciation for both the cards and the supportive notes. I love this quote from her in particular: "This last year had surprises and now many blessings coming in surprising ways." You guys rock!

I am playing my Challenge Catch-up cardmaking. Some challenges entered are newer, some are a little old, and some are really old!
The Basket Weave technique requires scissors to cut the lattices.
Since I'm late to the party, this is a February birthday card for another cardmaking friend. Here is my card: A Shower of Wishes for Your Birthday!
