Thanks for a really fun challenge, Jan. Brought back a lot of childhood memories: playing in the rock pools after school when I was small. In our teens we used to go for early morning swims in the summer and come home for hot porridge (oatmeal) to warm ourselves up. At that time we had one particular cat who enjoyed hopping in the car with us and strolling on the beach while we swam.
I had so much fun to make beach scenes that I made three, but really don't know which one to send, so I'll read the comments and when I know who is going to get my tickle will decide so it will be a surprise!! here are my cards but wanted to say first a big thank you to Jan for this super fun challenge
You know, Jan, I have lived in Florida since I was 7 years old, and while I might sometimes take my proximity to a beach for granted, I NEVER underestimate the beauty and serenity of the beach.
Great idea for the summer fun. Here is my fun little (literally) beach scene. off to check out the gallery.

I just re did my card on here so it didn't look yellow.
(I had never edited a card before and whatever was said has been erased. AARGH! I didn't even read what was said yet!)

That's weird. You should have been able to edit and nothing would change other than the picture; you certainly shouldn't have lost comments. Are you sure you didn't delete and upload again?
ETA...as a gallery moderator I can see that you did delete your original. Here's how to edit an upload at any time; to submit an improved photo or to change any details in the write-up, simply click on "edit photo" while viewing the upload in your gallery (just above the comment input area). Make any changes and click "submit". Changes to text should be visible instantly, but changing a keyword or an image takes longer to sync as the gallery database is HUGE.
I live about as far away from a real beach as you can get, which is probably good because I can't stand all that sand that gets everywhere! ;) Still I do love the sound of the ocean and riding the waves on a body board.
